Finished reading: Analog Cruising by Leo Herrera 📚 i never learned how to cruise. i hid from my faggot self long past the age when other kids my age were trying and failing and trying and succeeding to connect with others. this book read like an instruction manual from a fading era, especially with the number of haunts the author says are now closed and the epilogue about apps. but his message is also that these spaces still exist, and they still belong to us. it’s my job to keep these traditions alive.

Finished reading: The Metalhead Next Door by Mamita 📚 this was a cute one! very light story, a little too much “cute” and not enough “meet” for my tastes

i’ve been sick for about a week now. it’s the second time in the past year. i’m thankful that both times have been relatively mild, my annoyance at being stuck at home still preferable to the feeling off fighting for survival. i always worry i won’t ever feel better until the day i do.

Finished reading: Rejection by Tony Tulathimutte 📚 really funny, weird, awkward, self-aware book. a thrill to read lol.
